Jon Mack was named the 14th head coach in Lancaster Bible College Men's Basketball history on May 23, 2019. He came to Lancaster Bible via Southwestern Christian University in Oklahoma, and coached at the University of Valley Forge for 17 years prior to his stop in the Sooner state. Mack was an NCCAA Division II All-American as a player at Valley Forge in the late 1990s, where he scored 3,494 points, and grabbed 1,250 rebounds. He has won over 300 games during his coaching career, and led Valley Forge deep into the NCCAA Div. II National Tournament several times. Since taking over the LBC men's basketball program, Mack has an 87-44 overall record and an astounding 50-10 conference record (NEAC/United East). Coach Mack has also won three United East Coach of the Year awards and the Chargers have earned 11 All-Conference Selections, with Jordan Shewbridge earning back-to-back Player of the Year honors in 2021-22 and 2022-23. In both the 2021-22 and 2022-23 season, the Chargers finished the regular season as the United East Conference #1 Seed, winning the Conference Championship in the 2022-23 season and advancing to the NCAA III National Tournament. They advanced to the Round of 32 for the first time in program history and Jordan Shewbridge was the first player to play in the NCAA Division III National All-Star Game.
